Description

Hoslundia opposita is a hardy, evergreen, small, sometimes spreading soft shrub. From October to February, it bears creamy-green flowers that are irresistible to butterflies and other pollinating insects. These are followed by bright orange-red, tasty edible fruit that are much sought after by birds hence the common name.

Plant in well-drained soil in full sun where they create attractive borders. They make great container plants. Prune once or twice a year to keep in shape. An absolute must for a wildlife garden.
