Situated in the Elandsdrift Valley, bordering the Cradle of Humankind are the Shepherd’s Fold Stables.

Here they offer trail rides for both the experienced and inexperienced horse rider. They offer a safe environment which caters for all horse-riding capabilities.

The horse riding trails through the valley allow you to experience the true beauty of the Elandsdrift Valley.

Botanical Gardens Muldersdrift

Another must visit are the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens, only 6.1km from Muldersdrift.

The natural vegetation found in this area comprises of ever stretching grasslands and savannah, and it is also fondly known as the ‘Rocky Highveld Grasslands’.

The gardens are also home to the majestic Black Eagle, scientifically known as the Verreaux's Eagles.

And to top it all off, the gardens are also home to 220 different bird species, the gardens promise keen bird watchers a treat.
