Random Harvest Newsletter - January 2022 Interim

Posted On: Sunday, January 2, 2022

Dear Indigenous Enthusiast,

I hope you don’t mind receiving another note from me, but I had to get on my soapbox and send you this link from Change.org.

Consent has been given by our government to do seismic surveys off some of our most beautiful shores which could irretrievably damage the environment and have an impact on the fisheries, the local communities and most of all add to global warming.

It is of grave concern that Voracious International Companies (such as, in this case, Shell) have so little regard for their impact on the wellbeing of our beautiful planet.

Although an interim interdict has been granted which puts the brakes on Shell’s seismic survey in the Wild Coast region, I believe that it is critical for the people and biodiversity of this area to make sure that any seismic surveys are prohibited from taking place whether by Shell or any other company.

The money spent on this surveying would be much better spent on developing low impact, alternative sources of energy.

If you feel as I do, please click on the Change.ORG link, and have your say.

It would be a great help if you could share this with family, friends and colleagues.

I wish you all the best for the New Year – may it be peaceful and happy.

Sincerely

Linda
